Funny thing is, when I’m expecting/waiting on a phone call back, I actually sit/wait by the phone for it. I hate being in the middle of putting my child in her carseat or backing out of the driveway when the phone rings. Then I’m supposed to fumble around looking for my phone. I know I could get one of those Bluetooth ear thingys, but the point is there are certain activities (like driving my child to and fro) that I don’t want to do while distracted. I know I could let it go to voicemail, but if that were the case I’d email you if I didn’t need to “talk” to you. Maybe I’m old fashioned, but sometimes, most of the time, it seems easier for me to speak my peace, rather then text, type, email, or voicemail it.

I know exactly what you mean! We tend to have so much less reason to use our handwriting nowadays, but then again, maybe it is because we ourselves make it believe so. I still keep a handwritten journal, and a little book where I scrible notes as I read.. the pen has a calm feel to it – and it is a special feeling that grows when, as you say, push the pen to the paper. We truly should try and keep the tradition of handwriting alive, and not let it become obsolete.
